HUGE Grid For First HFF Round! - 27 March 2008
The Historic Formula Ford racing season springs into life again at Donington Park this weekend with a full grid and 12 reserves!!...
A bumper grid is the order of the day for the first HSCC Historic Formula Ford Championship round at Donington Park on Sunday. Well over 40 cars are entered with many more drivers still not entered for the first round after the winter lay off.
Former Champions Neil Fowler and Nelson Rowe have both moved onto other things for 2008 leaving the prospect of a very open and exciting series for 2008. A number of drivers will be in contention for race wins including Westie Mitchell, David Wild, Chris Sharples, Paul Sleeman, Andrew Newall, Michael Lyons, Nigel Bancroft (In some one off appearances) and PA Motorsports own Westone Bathrooms backed Crispin Schlaefli and George Fowler. In true FF1600 fashion only two of the above drivers are using the same marque of chassis, proving that this really is a drivers formula with potentially any make of chassis able to win.
The Formula Ford Qualifying is at 9.55 Sunday morning with the race due to start at 2.30pm. Make sure you are at Donington this Sunday for the season opener, overtaking is guaranteed!!!
