PA Motorsport Win At Oulton Park Gold Cup - 1 September 2009

PA driver Darren Burke took a Macon MR8 to a win at Oulton Park yesterday...

Darren Burke took pole position, fastest lap and a race win on his first visit to Oulton Park at the weekend. Burke was driving a PA Motorsport prepared and run Macon MR8 Historic Formula Ford. Despite only driving the circuit for the first time on Saturday, Burke was soon on the pace.

With qualifying early on Monday the circuit was still damp in places but Burke took control at the top of the time sheets for the whole 15 minute session ending up 0.7 seconds clear of the Elden of Robert Wianwright in second. A good start saw Burke shoot into an immediate lead he was never to lose, at one time stretching some 9 seconds ahead before cruising to the flag.
