Davies Back On Track In FF1600 - 17 September 2009
Mark Davies was back on track at Mallory yesterday in his brand new PA Motorsport built Mygale…
Following his accident at the Walter Hayes trophy in 2007, Mark Davies has competed in only one race, a Historic FF race at Castle Combe which he very nearly won in a PA Motorsport Macon MR8. However, yesterday he was back behind the wheel of a contemporary Formula Ford, a Mygale which has undergone considerable modifications by the PA Motorsport Team. The car features a modified chassis as well as different suspension to the original. A number of other areas of the car have also been fully re-worked in a bid to build a front running FF1600 car. Team boss Peter Alexander was pleased with the first run, 'The car was faultless and fast' he said, 'I have built every single part on that car so to have it run so well means a lot to me, it's great to see it out on circuit and going so well.'
A further test programme will follow as well as planned outings at the Castle Combe Carnival and the 2009 Walter Hayes Trophy.
