Darren Burke smashed his own lap record around the Brands Hatch Indy circuit in a pre season test last week. Burke was shaking down the PA Motorsport prepared Macon MR8 that he will race in the Historic Formula Ford season opener at Silverstone on March 28th. PA Team boss and car owner, Peter Alexander was very pleased with the times posted by Burke at Brands Hatch. “The lap times are particularly satisfying” said Alexander, “Especially as we have added ballast to conform to the latest car and driver weight limit. Despite the additional weight, we have gone nine tenths faster than our own lap record due to a number of set up improvements, although some of the gain is undoubtedly down to some of the resurfacing at Brands.”
