ENGINE & DIFF BOTH FOUND LEGAL
The engine and differential in the PA Motorsport owned and run Macon MR8 were stripped and inspected by an MSA scrutineer today at PA Motorsports’ workshop and both found to be legal. The engine and differential were sealed at the last round at Snetterton following another two dominant wins by Darren Burke. Burke, who has not been headed in all five rounds so far this season, has set a number of new lap records as well as taking pole and fastest lap at every race.
Team owner Peter Alexander said, “Whilst the result of the inspection is no surprise to me it is nice to have an official verdict out in the open. Hopefully this will stop some of the previous mumblings about the car. We just want to go racing to the best of our ability and having a driver of Darren’s calibre in the car really shows what it is capable of. We know he should be doing a higher formulae but he has never had the budget to do so. I recognised what he is capable of and wanted to help him. The
